Our teachers are highly trained, DBS checked and First Aid at work trained and many of our teachers have a classroom teaching background, which helps to bring a new dimension to the lessons, which are delivered.

Liz Couser
Manager and Swimming Teacher
I’m the owner of Watersprites. I am a mother to a crazy clan of two boys, 2 cats and a dog (who thinks he is a cat!) Life for me is busy but fun, juggling 2 jobs, my own training and keeping the laundry fresh so that there is always a clean football kit to hand – the struggle is real!

Emma Foster
Swimming Teacher
I am a mum to two daughters who are 2 and 3. I started taking my eldest to Watersprites when she was 5 months old and we never left! I loved the ethos of Watersprites and the calm, engaging lessons they provided. I trained as a swim teacher after baby number 2 and i have worked for Watersprites for two years now

Rachel Pogson
Swimming Teacher
Mummy of one little girl who is 18 months old.I got into swimming teaching after taking my little girl to parent and baby classes from 12 weeks old. I saw how much her confidence grew throughout the lessons and now will happily jump in from the side and know certain ques mean certain things. I have always loved swimming and used to swim with a local club.

Hollie Brett
Swimming Teacher
I am the newest member of the Watersprites clan. I have two adorable cherubs, who have both been swimming since 7 weeks old. It’s whilst being a parent swimming with Watersprites that inspired me to become a teacher. I just need to work on singing skills!

Michelle Mckinnon
Swimming Teacher
I’ve been a swimming teacher with Watersprites since 2017. I’m a mum of 2 children (and a dog who thinks she’s a third child!)
I’ve always loved swimming and swam in a club from a young age. My passion for swimming lessons came when I had my own family and took them into the pool from young babies. I loved being in the pool again and helping give my own children the vital life skill of being able to be safe in the water. My family and I attended baby and toddler lessons regularly and today we all still love to swim as a leisure activity together, it really is our happy place.

Emily Whiting
Swimming Teacher
I have been a swimming teacher for 5 years. I don’t have much spare time due to being a full-time SEN teacher too but I do enjoy spending time with my family! I have always enjoyed swimming and I was part of a swim club when I was younger. I’m a mummy to a little boy (now 5) with another on the way. I brought him to Watersprites at 10 weeks old and we’ve both been here since!
